... So that's why Trump ordered Iran to kill Qasim Sulemani

Referring to Trump's same statement, O'Brien said, "The goal of this attack was to stop the attacks that were conspired to be agitated." Its goal was to prevent a direct attack against Iran in the future through Iran's indirect or IRGC Quds force.

Washington: US National Security Advisor Robert O'Brien has said that President Donald Trump's decision to kill General Qasim Sulemani, the commander of Iran's powerful Revolutionary Guards, was defensible and was taken to prevent future bloodshed.
O'Brien alleged, "Sulaimani, travelling in countries of West Asia, came to Iraq from Damascus, where he was plotting to attack American soldiers and diplomats."

Commenting on the general's death, O'Brien said, "It was a defensive action to prevent further bloodshed."

Trump had said that this action was not to start a war but to stop the war.

Referring to Trump's same statement, O'Brien said, "The goal of this attack was to stop the attacks that were conspired to be agitated." Its goal was to prevent a direct attack against Iran in the future through Iran's indirect or IRGC Quds force.

"President Trump has clearly stated that he proposed unconditional talks with Iran," he said. He wants a peaceful settlement with Iran. Unfortunately, these efforts of the President were rejected.

He alleged that Sulaimani had a long history of attacking Americans. He also accused Sulemani of supporting "Assad's rule and his brutal efforts in Syria".

O'Brien said that the Trump administration has made it clear that it would be a very bad decision if Iran takes vengeance or increases tensions.

It is noteworthy that General Sulaimani was the head of the Al-Quds force of Iran. He was killed in a US drone attack on his convoy that left the Baghdad International Airport on Friday. The deputy head of Iran's powerful Hashad al-Shaabi paramilitary force was also killed in the attack.

A day later, in the early hours of Saturday, the US targeted members of Iraq's Hashd Al Shaabi paramilitary force in a fresh airstrike.
